What I Wish I Knew

Trip Summary

Nashville is probably one of the most popular destinations for a bachelorette party, a big birthday bash, or just a wild night on the town–and that is all for good reason! It’s an awesome city with so much to offer–great food, plenty to see and do, fantastic music, and a large walkable downtown area that is full of everything you could want in a vacation destination!

Luckily, I have been here many times during the summer and on school breaks and will likely be in Nashville again, so I can give you the full scoop! And this is a post that will probably be updated regularly as I find more spots to visit and review!

One of the things you need to know, though, if you visit Nashville is that accommodations are very expensive. The first time I went there, I had a heck of a time finding anywhere to stay that was within my budget (a teacher’s budget, no less!), but over the years, I have been able to find some scores–like the new Caption by Hyatt Downtown Nashville! This hotel I have been to fives times now is a perfect little spot in the Gulch area that is walkable to Broadway. There is a covered (and locked) parking garage around the corner (McGavock Street Parking Garage) whose rates–though, expensive–do not change day-by-day like some of the other parking areas do–and some get crazy over the weekend! Lots of restaurants are nearby, it’s in a safe area of town, and the staff has always been nice.

The rooms get pricier during the summer, but during the winter, you can usually snag a reasonable rate, and the hotel offers lots of amenities from a gym to a restaurant to a bar, and they even have a nice texting service where they check in with you before your stay to estimate your arrival time and see if you need anything extra during your stay. The rooms are nice, too, and I have stayed in their standard rooms as well as their bigger rooms with the couch and pull-out bed, and both have been great. The only thing that detracts from this rating, though, is that the hotel does struggle with its AC system as the last two times I stayed, the AC completely went out and management said that the cooling panel had broken. Supposedly, they had fixed it, yet when I stayed a few months later, the AC problems still persisted, so if I have a future stay in a summer month, I am definitely going to find somewhere else to go. The staff has always been accommodating by offering a fan, changing rooms, and comping part of the stay, but even still, when you are struggling to sleep in an 84 degree room, that is pretty miserable.

So for its rooms, amenities, and staff, it gets points, though some of those are lost for the AC issues. Just be sure to stay during a colder month!

If you want to splurge and money is no object, then you can stay right on Broadway at the Grand Hyatt! This one was where my husband and I stayed once, and the hotel attracted us with its rooftop pool (which is quite nice!), gorgeous interior, and spacious rooms. The parking at this one is absolutely gobsmacking, though, because the lots nearby do change day-by-day, and on the weekends, we were having to spend over $100 for parking…a day (this was in 2025)! That is absolutely insane to me, especially for a crummy, unsecured, uncovered lot, so just be warned about that if you take a car into town!

Okay, back to the hotel…it’s nice and very close to the sights. It’s a much shorter walk to the sights and sounds of Broadway and an easy stroll if you are out at night. The hotel also offers a restaurant, bars, and hospitable staff. The grounds are just that–grand with luxury–so if you want a fancy schmancy place to spend some time, this is your place!

My husband and I enjoyed the rooftop pool especially as there are lots of areas (in the shade and the sun) to lounge and read and relax. The pool itself is also clean and refreshing, and the whole rooftop offers some great city views.

So for its rooms, amenities, and that rooftop pool, it gets major points! Just be warned about that price tag–shew!

Grand Hyatt Nashville: A

You can find lots of cheaper options farther away from Nashville (especially by the airport), and Ubers are very plentiful. My first few times in Nashville, I always stayed at Hotel Preston. It is right next to the interstate, has convenient parking, nice rooms, and a lovely staff. The hotel even offers fun extras like a pillow menu and special accommodations (like a goldfish for your room!). Also, if you request a room on the side farthest from the airport, you actually don’t notice the airplane noise too much.

They also have a pool, so if you go in the summer, you can enjoy the sun to your heart’s delight! I am usually there in the winter and spring, though, so I have not been able to enjoy the pool but rather the other parts of the hotel–the lounge and bar/restaurant area. The bar actually underwent a serious renovation recently–and is far better because of it. It has much better seating now, a more convenient layout, and is easier to access via the front desk area.

They used to have a restaurant, Cafe Isabella, but it was rebranded as Blackwood and opened as part of the renovation, and this was a good move and shows that the hotel is making good improvements to better the experience of those staying there. While I have not had food at Blackwood, I did have a drink there, and the staff/cleanliness/service was much better than Cafe Isabella.

So for its great accommodations, Uber-able distance to downtown, lovely staff, and reasonable rates (even with the daily resort fee that covers things like parking, the rates are a fraction of what you would have to pay downtown), this hotel gets a good score. The renovations they made recently were much-needed, and I am glad that they made them, because my more recent stays have been even better than the first few!

Hotel Preston: B

Now, let’s get to the best part of Nashville! The music! The food! Broadway! I’ll review my favorites here (and will update often when I find more favorites!), so here goes!

The one spot that EVERYONE recommended when I asked for restaurant recommendations was The Pharmacy. It is a spot a little north of downtown and is more like a restaurant/beer garden. They have an assortment of food options, but they are probably best known for their burgers and bratwurst. They also have an extensive drink menu that includes old-school style sodas, milkshakes, and beer.

Parking was very hard to find there, and the place was packed, but since I was by myself, I didn’t have to wait too long. They have plenty of seating inside and outside, and the service was quick, so if you want to try a Nashville classic, try this place!

The food was good and served fresh. I tried the cheeseburger with tater tots, and everything was delicious (and plentiful!).

The prices were also reasonable, too, especially for a popular place like Nashville, so that was an extra perk and just adds to the already high marks for this place!

The Pharmacy: A

As I’ve gone back to Nashville over the years, I’ve tried some local favorites, and those have been solid as well. A steady favorite that is on many Top 10 lists is Bad Luck Burger Club. It’s a food truck right with two locations. The location I went to was right outside a meadery–more on that later!–and they offer lots of good burger selections. They are smash burgers, and I liked that they offered big burger as well as smaller selections–like the “Lil’ Guy”–that you can eat if you aren’t super hungry and you just want to try it while walking around the area.

They also offer burgers with lots of fun toppings, sauces, and sides, so definitely give it a whirl. It’s a fun place!

Bad Luck Burger Club: A

If you are open to trying a chain restaurant, Jack Brown’s Beer and Burger Joint is a good spot to hang out. I had tried this place before in Chattanooga and liked it, so when celebrating with family, we all decided to go here where we could enjoy the ambience and delicious food.

The Nashville location is just as fun as the Chattanooga one, and the service was excellent with the waiters eager to suggest food and drinks that they liked. There are a lot of choices and topping selections for the burgers which makes it fun to try new combinations that you had never tried before (and that end up being scrumptious!). The drink menu is also extensive, and they have dessert selections, too. The waiter had actually brought by some fried oreos by mistake (we didn’t order them), but left them for us to eat, and they were tasty as well!

For its plentiful food and drink options, fun atmosphere, and great service, it gets a good score!

Jack Brown’s Beer and Burger Joint: A

Another Nashville classic that a lot of people will recommend is Hattie B’s Hot Chicken. They have several locations in Nashville (and nationwide now), but you are looking at a significant wait at any of their restaurants. I was intrigued by the place, but I had never had Nashville Hot Chicken and wanted to try the staple, so I set off for the closest spot.

The line was about an hour long to just get in the place, but when I was able to order at the front, I was happy to see that they let you split your order into varying amounts of spiciness if you wanted. I tried the medium and hot (their spiciness level goes all the way to “Shut the Cluck Up!”) with their crinkle-cut fries, and they gave me a number to wait for the order. It didn’t take too long for the food to be delivered, and it looked and tasted fresh.

One thing I guess I didn’t realize about hot chicken is that the spices are added as a dry rub/coating, and the spicier something is, the greater the amount of spices piled on the chicken. I was expecting just spicier ingredients, not necessarily a lot of sandy grit, so while the chicken itself was good and cooked well, the unexpected amount of powder around it just kind of lessened the wow factor for me. I like spices and hot-flavored things, but I ended not eating all of the meal.

The fries were good, though, and I imagine all the other items on the menu are good, too, because even though I went shortly after the place opened, they were already out of certain menu items, so that just shows you how popular those items were! I will probably try hot chicken again at another place next time I am in Nashville, but I just wasn’t that impressed with the hot chicken here.

Hattie B’s Hot Chicken: B

I also tried Prince’s Hot Chicken last time I was in Nashville, and I don’t know if it was because it was in the Assembly Food Hall or what, but that place was my least favorite hot chicken place. The chicken is very dry, the prep area not very clean, and the staff not very friendly. It may have just been the day, but that place was a major disappointment, so if you have a choice, I’d skip that place.

They do have a lot of flavors to choose from (though, it didn’t seem like you could split them up like at Hattie B’s), but yeah, it’s a skip…

Prince’s Hot Chicken: C

Okay, so I saved the best for last…you ready? Party Fowl! Holy gracious! I remember on one of my trips to Nashville, my husband and I walked all the way to one of their locations only to see that it had shut down (which was not reflected on their website), and after hearing a lot about it, I was disappointed to not try it. Then on my most recent trip, I stumbled across a location during their soft opening, and even though it was an invite-only event, they said they had a few no-shows, so they let me in! And for the event, all appetizers and entrees were free! What!

That event more than made up for my first attempt trying out the place, because the place was hopping with happy customers, the bartenders and staff were super friendly, the place was clean, and the food! The food was delicious! Out of all the hot chicken places, this one took the cake for how tender the chicken was–super juicy with just the right amount of batter and spice. The decor is fun, too, and they offer a large assortment of appetizers and drinks, so if you are looking for good hot chicken, this is it!

Party Fowl: A+

Of course, Nashville is also known for its BBQ restaurants, so after looking up reviews, I had to try Edley’s. There are several locations, and they all offer a nice assortment of menu choices. I had gotten the pulled pork BBQ nachos except over fries instead of chips, and those were good.

The service was fast, the restaurant was clean, and they even offer free parking (you have to scan a QR code, and it offers timed parking at one of the nearby lots–and parking is expensive!). Recommend!

Edley’s Bar-B-Que: A

If you are looking for Mexican food, Nashville has some good options! On Broadway, Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa is great, because not only does it have great music, neat decorations, and plentiful seating, but their food is quite good! Their cheese dip isn’t watered down like at a lot of places, and their portions are hefty and taste great! My husband and I went one night, and he still talks about how good the food was!

They proclaim themselves as one of the best Mexican places to eat on Broadway, and my husband exclaimed, if this isn’t even the best place, how good is the food AT the #1 place?! Needless to say, it was very tasty.

Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa: A

If you want awesome drinks and the BEST queso you will ever have in your life, look no place other than Federales. This is a nice spot in the Gulch area, and they have a cute outside seating area next to a fireplace as well as comfortable seating inside, and they offer all sorts of dishes from tacos to burritos to fajitas. That cheese dip, though! It has all sorts of mix-ins that make it delicious.

They also offer a bottomless brunch which looked amazing and will be a must-try next time I am in town! With so many good things on the menu, the cute space, and the good service, this place is a winner in my book!

Federales: A

If you want to explore something a little out of the ordinary, Redheaded Stranger is a popular spot that offers not only tacos, but crunchwraps! And not your average Taco Bell crunchwrap, but a heaping, messy, honest to goodness clutch of a crunchwrap! It is very filling (and tasty!) and is a fun way to eat some Instagram worthy food! They also offer a bunch of sides (like tater tots!) that compliment the meal.

So for its fun cuisine, hearty portions, and menu selections, its get a good recommendation!

Redheaded Stranger: A

If you are looking for something a bit more fancy, Nashville definitely has its share of fine dining! Granted, a lot of them are going to reflect that in price, so when I looked around for a good steak place, Bourbon Steak was highly recommended, but those prices scared me away a bit. Looking at menus, Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse seemed to fit the bill–really good reviews, highly recommended on travel boards, and the prices were more reasonable…so I made a reservation!

And what a place! From the live music at night to the attentive waiters to the tasty bread and butter they offer to the juicy, gorgeous steaks, it was a lovely meal. Everything was cooked just right, drinks were always filled, and the atmosphere was nice and peaceful, especially if you decided to sit outside.

They even offer things like sushi as well as an array of other dishes, so there is definitely something for everyone. A fine place!

Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse: A

If just straight-up sushi is more your thing, look no further than Sushi-San! Oh, my goodness, what a delight! My sisters and I went during a girls trip, and we all love sushi, and we all loved this place! They offer all sorts of rolls, and each one was divine. Our favorite was definitely the Crunchy Avocado as that just seemed to melt in your mouth and everything combined into an absolutely delicious bite!

One of my sisters ordered the Beef N’ Bop Sizzling Rice, and that was the absolute star of the show. It comes with an egg yolk at the top which initially took us back a bit, but as the waiter cooked it on the table and mixed it in with everything, it sealed the deal for everyone–this dish slapped! My goodness gracious!

The place books up quick, but they also offer fun things like matcha ice cream and other menu favorites, so give the place a try! It was the best!

Sushi-San: A+

Another good place for sushi is Blue Sushi Sake Grill near the Assembly Food Hall. It is a chain restaurant that I had initially discovered in Omaha, Nebraska, and when I saw that Nashville had it, I told my husband he had to try it!

The menu is massive, and they have every offering you could possibly think of including raw and cooked sushi. The decor is also very cool, and while the service was lacking at this particular location (Omaha had much better service), the food was still good, and we enjoyed our sushi.

Blue Sushi Sake Grill: A-

If fine Italian faire is more your style, Pelato is an excellent choice. This place books up quickly, too, but my friend and I were able to snag some spots by the bar and eat without waiting too long. They offer all sorts of appetizers, noodles, and desserts. They recommend getting a few plates to sample and share, and that is what we ended up doing. I had seen a lot of videos on social media praising their Radiatori Vodka pasta, so we tried that, and it is a delicious noodle dish with just the right amount of kick to it!

We also tried the Potato Croquettes, Meatballs Al Forno, and the lemon pasta, and all were nice. The Radiatori Vodka pasta deserves its top spot, though! Oh, and the drinks! They have limoncello margaritas, and those are delightful!

With how popular it is, it gets very busy, and with so many people inside, it gets quite loud, so be prepared to yell throughout your whole meal in order to hear your dinner-mates, but even still, the food at this place was quite good! It deserves its popularity!

Pelato: A-

Speaking of popular spots on social media, there is a new Middle-Eastern place called Aba that opened up, so I decided to try it out. At two months out, only a spot outside was available for one person, so with a wait like that, I expected the place to be amazing! And sure enough, the inside is gorgeous, and they spent a lot of time and money making the place look nice. Just looking up at the ceiling is beautiful as they have such lovely decorations.

The food is where everything came crashing down, though. I started off with the whipped feta, because that came highly recommended. It looked pretty when it came out of the kitchen, but then as soon as you tasted it, all you tasted was straight-up salt. I thought it might have just been a bad bite, so I tried different spots of the feta, but every bite was so gross, I had to stop eating. It was so salty, it literally made me feel sick.

It was then that I decided to just wrap it up and not order anything more, because if the famous dish was bad, then what was everything else going to be like? So I would not recommend this place. You can get a far better appetizer in the city (like at an Irish pub–more on that later!).

Aba: C-

After I finished at Aba, I looked at my map to see what else might be nearby so I could still salvage some dinner, and that’s when I found Pastis! It’s a cute little French place close-by, and what a turnaround to the night! From the absolutely lovely servers to the bread to the amazing onion soup, this place was a winner!

The drinks are also very nice, and they offer all sorts of authentic French dishes and drinks, so you almost feel like you’ve been whisked away to a small cafe in France! I loved the meal here, and while the place was busy, it didn’t require a two month wait! Just walk in and have an even better meal than the place next door. Score!

Pastis: A+

Of course, when you are in Nashville, you need brunch! I mean, that is just a given! Well, look no further than The Butter Milk Ranch! Probably THE best place to eat in Nashville, this is a place I have gone to several times now, and each time, I am completely wow-ed!

From its delicious drinks to its appetizers (try the sausage balls!) to its breakfast cuisine, this eatery is a top favorite! Their portions are absolutely massive, so every time I go, I get something smaller each time so I am not carrying home a ton of leftovers, but everything I have eaten there has been mouthwateringly good!

I will say that this place is very, very popular and they do not offer reservations. It is first come, first serve, and you can join a waitlist on Yelp beforehand. However, as soon as that waitlist gets long enough, they close the waitlist down for the whole day! SO you have to get there and/or join the waitlist EARLY! Otherwise, there is just no chance of eating there. Granted, this restaurant is in a great spot of town with lots of places to wander through, but whew, don’t let that catch you off-guard!

The Butter Milk Ranch: A+

Even though I knew how long of a wait The Butter Milk Ranch had, I made the mistake of trying to join the waitlist as soon as it opened on Mother’s Day weekend….and pfffffft, the wait list had shut down immediately that morning. Like no chance in hell of getting in….sooo, my friend and I went to a back-up place, and what a cool find it ended up being! We went to Milk and Honey, and although, they had a long wait, too, there were some open spots at the bar, so that is where we ended up eating.

The menu had all sorts of humorously named dishes, and the staff was lovely in recommending their favorites. Service was quick, the food was delicious, and while the restaurant was very busy, it wasn’t crazy loud like some of the other restaurants in town, so that was a nice bonus. While we missed the chance to eat at The Butter Milk Ranch that morning, it ended up being a happy accident, because then we could discover this place! A good find!

Milk and Honey: A

If you are just wanting some donuts for breakfast, then Five Daughters Bakery deserves a top spot on your list! There are several locations across town, and they are pricey, but the taste is shockingly good. I was skeptical, because I’ve had really good donuts in the past, but this place….wow! They have sweet and savory donuts and when I tried their maple bacon one, the King Kong, my mouth had to take a step back and just process everything that was going on in my mouth! I was not expecting it to be this good!

I went back and got some to take home to my husband, and even after being in the car for a few hours then on the counter for a day, they were so, so delicious when we ate them for dessert that night! Like wow! Highly recommend!

Five Daughters Bakery: A+

If you want a boozy coffee flight with corresponding mini-donuts, then the Donut Distillery is your place! They offer two hot coffees and two cold coffees along with a mini-donut for each one (you can also get a flight without the mini-donuts). The decor in the restaurant is also nice and lots of patrons will take some Instagram pics, because it’s a very Instagram-worthy spot!

The coffees weren’t bad and all offered a unique flavor, so if you are in the area and want to try it out, it’s a good one!

Donut Distillery: A-

If you want absolutely epic coffee, you need to go to La La Land. They always have a huge line and sell out of items fast, but the coffee is the best you will taste in the city, hands down! My sisters and I love coffee, so we went there one morning and everything we tasted was delicious. The banana cloud coffee was my favorite because it was light and creamy and even had specks of real banana in it!

Absolutely delightful, and the decor is cute, and they offer free tote bags to their customers as well! Highly recommend!

La La Land: A+

If you like more unique drinks–like mead–there is an absolutely adorable meadery called Honeytree Meadery. I found this spot by accident while trying the Bad Luck Burger Club, and what a place! The decorations are so cute, and they offer all sorts of meads in different flavors as well as an assortment of honeys. They also offer flights so you can try a bunch and even have add-ons–like The Beast–which is like a high gravity mead.

The staff was excellent, the place was clean, and the seating plentiful, so definitely check it out!

Honeytree Meadery: A

Okay, one more spot that I will recommend, and this was a surprise find! My sisters and I wandered into The Pub, because we wanted a quiet place to sit and talk after spending hours in the noise and bustle of Broadway, and The Pub was just the spot for it! It was actually almost too quiet as the power kept going out, but the chairs were comfortable, the drinks were good, and the food was nice. Our absolute favorite was the goat cheese dip with the bacon onion jam. Holyyyyyyy…..

So, so good, and honestly, if you just visited the restaurant for that, it would be worth it! So delicious, and the service was great. Loved that this was one of the last eateries we visited together, because it was a winner before packing up and heading out!

The Pub: A

There are a lot of spots on Broadway that serve food, too. The bars have menu options if you want to eat a snack there, and just about every spot has live music playing, so they are fun places to hang out. The scene totally changes from day to night and having been there at both times, I can say that daytime is more family friendly, more relaxed, and chill. At night, people are very drunk, the police presence is a lot higher, and you have to be a lot more watchful. It is still totally safe, but if you go then, keep a very close eye on your drinks, walk purposefully, and be aware of your surroundings (especially if you are alone).

One of my favorite spots to hang out was Jason Aldean’s Kitchen and Rooftop Bar. They played great music all night (and at a manageable volume where you could enjoy it but still carry a conversation if you wanted to–a lot of places on Broadway blast music so loudly that you can’t even yell a word to your friends and have a chance of being heard). They also had one of the best bartenders I had ever experienced as she was sweet and very attentive to everyone at the bar. She was especially mindful of you if you weren’t drinking alcohol and took special care to refill your water at any point you might need it–I don’t think I had ever had a water glass that wasn’t full! The food was also enjoyable there, and they have a wide assortment of food options from snacks to fancy faire. Prices are on the expensive side, but for its ambience and great service, it still gets great points!

I liked hanging out where there were multiple floors and had open air balconies where you could stand and people-watch. Honky Tonk Central was a great place for this. Friends in Low Places Bar and Honkey Tonk had a nice rooftop bar where you could sit with your drink on a ledge and people watch as well. Jelly Roll’s Goodnight Nashville is also a fun place with cool decorations inside–including a disco skull. Of course, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge is a must, and the last time I went, they were holding auditions for future performers, so that was a fun way to hear a bunch of different music! Margaritaville is also fun and has live music (their Lightnin’ Strike drink is fantastic).

With Nashville’s history, you will also find a number of speakeasies and while some are better than others, they are fun to explore. The absolute best one to go to is at Noelle. Their bar is on one of the lower floors, and you can enter with the password “bathtub juice.” They also theme the bar for different seasons, and I went both during spring when they had a magical garden set up and during Halloween when they had a vampire set up. Both were very neat, and they had different drinks to fit each occasion.

There are some speakeasy tours offered, but honestly, I would skip those as all the speakeasies are in very close proximity and do not require a cover charge (though, drinks are pricey!). The one speakeasy tour I did go on was extremely rushed (so much so that he was ushering the group out of one speakeasy to go to the next when we hadn’t even gotten our drinks yet let alone paid, and it’s not cool to have to chug a $20 drink just to keep up with the group). So skip the tour and just go yourself. It is much more leisurely and you can actually sit and sip those expensive drinks!

In Nashville, there are a lot of fun things to explore at night. The drunk busses are very popular (and it’s very entertaining to watch them cruise through Broadway!), Printer’s Alley is great to explore (the Skull’s Rainbow Room is especially popular there), and there is no shortage of shows, too, for the bachelorette parties! One show that I did see was Shiners, and that was a lot of fun to see. It is a variety show that includes singing, acrobatics, and feats of strength and balance. They also have an assortment of moonshines there, and it is a fun way to spend the evening.

There is a lot on Broadway, including stores selling boots, western wear, and souvenirs, and those are neat to explore between bars/restaurants. Sometimes, there are street performers, and once, I saw a guy offering pictures with his snakes!

If you wander away from downtown, there are lots of sights to see from the Grand Ole Opry to the Ryman Auditorium to the Belle Meade Historic Site and Winery. Being a teacher, I thought it would be fun to check out Vanderbilt University, and it is actually a gorgeous campus.

The buildings are beautifully designed, the walkways are pretty, and I happened to go when all the trees were in full bloom.

The facilities are also very nice, and it was neat seeing another school and all their fancy classrooms and faculty offices. So if you need a nice stroll, this is a fun place to go (and it’s close to one of the Hattie B’s Hot Chicken locations if that is your thing!).

There are also other cool places to explore if you venture further. For example, the Parthenon is a fun spot to see. It gives a lot of great picture opportunities with its huge columns and impressive architecture. Parking is free, and there are lots of manicured lawns on the grounds where you can spread out and enjoy the sun. Its very popular, so be sure to add it to your list!

Finally, Nashville is THE place for murals! There are so many across town–so many that you can even take a mural tour to see most of them! One of the most famous is the #WhatLiftsYou wings mural which I have visited a few times now. A fun picture opportunity, so add it to your list as well!

So all in all, I really like Nashville and no matter how many times I visit, I always find new favorites to enjoy. I can see why it is such a popular place for fun gatherings–there is no place like it!

Favorite Experiences

Everything in Nashville has been enjoyable, but I think what makes Nashville especially unique is that stretch of Broadway downtown. Broadway actually extends a fair bit across the city, so when I visited Vanderbilt, I walked along the bottom end of it and honestly didn’t see what all the fuss was about as it seemed like any normal street. Then the next day, I was walking around downtown and came across THE part of Broadway that was famous and saw that it indeed lived up to its name.

I like the more relaxed feel of Broadway during the daytime and probably think that afternoon just sitting and listening to live music was the best part. It’s a fun spot in a fun city, so definitely pay it a visit!

What I Wish I Knew

Having been to Nashville a bunch of times, I don’t think there is a ton that I would do differently. I am always finding new spots to visit, but I think the only main thing I haven’t done is hit all the Instagram spots around the city–and there are many!

Instagram aside, though, there is plenty to see and do in this great city! As you can see, eating is a big highlight here as the city offers so much! I think on future visits, some spots that are still on my “to try” list are Bar Taco, Five Points Pizza, Brave Idiot, 888, Sicilian Butcher, Hampton Social (this place especially books out way in advance), Peg Leg Porker, and Big Machine Distillery. Dolly Parton also has several hotels in the city–the most famous being the White Limozeen which has a cool rooftop area with a lot of Instagram opportunities. This forum here has a lot of great suggestions, too, so take a gander there and ask questions, and you’ll be able to come across even more ideas.

I also post reels and TikToks regularly of all the places I’ve reviewed on here, so if you want to see some videos of what to expect, check out my social media here:
